United Kingdom

UNITED KINGDOM

The United Kingdom stands out as the most preferred study abroad destination. At CLR, we offer placement services into a range of colleges and universities across the UK.

There are 4 stages to the UK education system and students are assessed at the end of each stage:

These four stages are as graphically illustrated below:

For the undergraduate level, the student must first follow the sixth form route. This route as shown in the graph above, could be either:

Route 1: A levels or IB diploma or Cambridge U (slightly easier than A levels)

Duration: 2 year course

Age Limit: 15+

The A level programme is compulsory for progression into some courses like all branches of Medicine or for some universities such as Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial College and at times London School of Economics.

Route 2: University Foundation programme

Duration: one year

Age Limit: 17years+

*Depending on the institution, some take 16years+ that will turn 17 in the same year they commence the programme*

Route 3: International Diploma Program:

Duration: One Year diploma in selected programmes (Business management and Engineering programmes)

Age Limit: 18years+ with excellent results

Progression: Upon successful completion leads to 2nd year Business degree in a university.

We partner with the following Colleges and Universities in the UK either directly or through our Partnership with the Cambridge Education Group, UK and the Study Group UK:
